Resumo
In this impromptu podcast, Hillary and Amy wished the Mama Bears a Happy New Year and a challenge: to focus on discipling the home in spiritual faithfulness.
In the past 5 years a focused attack has been waged on societal unity and the sanctity of the home. Secular culture has focused on vilifying the christian faith, tearing apart the home, and evangelizing our children to a secular worldview. While everyone is focusing on the upcoming election, we at Mama Bear encourage our listeners to focus on strengthening the home front. To help you bring p your children to be warriors in the faith, we encourage to you trim away what doesn’t matter eternally. This is perhaps why new years resolutions fail. They focus on adding something to your plate without first taking something away. So mama’s, what’s taking
up your time? Sports? Social media? Letting coco melon babysit your kindergartner? Whatever it is, take that time to refocus on the foundations of the faith.
We here at Mama Bear will help equip you through more podcasts to help you as we journey through 2024. Fair warning, some of them might look different than normal because hillary’s health and newborn naps have little regard for recording schedules. This means that some of these podcasts will look more like conversations with the friend you ran into in the cereal aisle. Fun, biblically rooted, and possibly wear a drool-stained sweatshirt. Cuz mama bear life y’all.
We look forward to this year with you!

Estamos todos juntos nisso, por isso, às vezes, nossas postagens refletem um pouco de cada um de nós.

I’m not normally one to comment and reach out to podcasters and social media persons- However – your statement on this most recent podcast episode (regarding when you were praying for the Lords guidance on what you needed to prepare moms for, you get the sense it is “to prepare moms to slowly pull their children away from Culture,”) hit me me like a ton of bricks. I have had this gnawing sense building in me over the past 5-6 months, just before I found your podcast. Through which I have found other resources (online apologetics courses, Alisa Childers, Phylicia Masonheimer, and Bible Recap).
My husband studied apologetics in early college years and was discipled by a very godly man during college, and he is as a result a man of great faith. I thank God for that. However- he is a resident doctor and very busy. Which has left me largely in charge of our two young girls. I never had these sorts of relationships and guidance at any point in my life – and have admittedly never read the Bible. We are from the good ole Bible Belt- Mississippi, and Christianity was a part of our culture. It was a bubble. We’ve spent the past year in VERY Mormon Draper, UT, where we were essentially outcast for not being members of the LDS church and pointing some of the LDS missionaries to the true Gospel. We found a church, but something felt off, which I now recognize is because they were a progressive Christian church (we didn’t stay long lol).
We then moved to Little Rock, AR and I have to say I was surprised it is not as culturally Christian as Mississippi. Even though I often find myself surrounded by people who are agnostic and atheist and members of the LGTBQ+ (?), and progressive Christian churches, I am able to find encouragement in your podcasts and posts! I only wish I had found you guys last year!
I’m not where I want to be, but I feel so encouraged that I am on the right track to raising and teaching my children sound theology and how to interact with our ever changing world and culture.
All that to say- Thank you for you what you do, and may God Bless you.
